How it started

I never set out to become a photographer, it found me when I needed it most. I started college as a vocal major, but after acute vocal chord damage that lasted all semester, I found myself searching for something that sparked the same joy. My college didn’t have any other art related majors beyond music so I decided to step a away for a moment. During that time, I picked up my camera and everything clicked (literally).

My first session changed my life.

Witnessing the raw beauty of human connection has always felt special to me. There is a name for the overwhelming joy you feel while sharing an experience with others.

Collective effervescence.

This can manifest in so many settings but I experience it every time I show up to a wedding or a session with my camera. Once I realized I had the gift of being able to capture that feeling in an honest way, I knew I had found what I was created to do.

Over the past 10 years, I've worked hard to get where I am at. I am very lucky that I have found a career in photography but my biggest motivation isn’t exponential growth; it is to be trusted to capture your most sacred moments & to continuously perfect my craft.

I believe that what's meant for you will always find you. Photography found it’s way to me, and maybe, just maybe, this is your sign that I'm meant to document your story.

l'd be honored to create something beautiful for you.

The preservation of memories is not a one size fits all formula.

My inspiration

Were you the kid who loved digging through piles of photos your family had collected for decades? Grandma’s wedding, your first birthday, a candid photo of your parents partying hard at a random reception.

I most definitely was.

Before having my son, I had never thought about how I want to be able to have images like these to hand over to him as he gets older. This was further deemed a necessity in my eyes when my husband was diagnosed with cancer when our son was just 6 months old.

Facing my life partner’s mortality before even hitting 30 years old was not something I had even thought was a possibility. We are so lucky that his cancer was treatable and we are currently awaiting his PET scan now that treatment is done.

This huge shift in life also gave me a huge shift in how I photograph people. I have always tried to give my clients the experience I would want from a photographer, but now I find myself noticing and capturing even the most subtle moments. The moments I would love to have of my own family. .

There is no greater joy in my career than preserving the heart and soul of moments and of the people you love.

    Scorpio Moon

I truly believe my Scorpio moon is why I am so good at photography. I am always feeling everything all at once and I am attuned to the emotions of others. You can always catch me with tears in my eyes during a toast while capturing the tears in everyone else’s as well.

  • I can create just about anything I set my mind to! Just started getting into quilting and I love it so much. I want to have beautiful handmade things to pass down to my children.

  • I love finding treasures at thrift stores. My goal is to eventually thrift some of my son’s easter basket goodies, birthday gifts, and stocking stuffers. I have seen a few people do it and they find the coolest things for their kids!

  • I am constantly watching movies. I blame my parents because I had a TV in my room and a silly amount of VHS tapes! I prefer scary movies but adore a good emotional drama if my heart can handle it.

My husband and I also LOVE to watch Love Island. Nicolandia forever.

  • I love all animals but our cats Jasper and Esper have my heart. I have been vetoed on getting a third cat by my husband but once my son can speak I will get him to ask too.

  • I don’t know why or how but I have accumulated quite a large collection of ghost decor. Paintings, figures, hand towels, etc. I love them so much and a handful stay out around the house all year.

If you were hoping I was talking about real ghosts, I am always down to exchange a good ghost story or two!

  • My husband plays a ton and even went nationals a few years back. I learned to play when we were dating and honestly have gotten pretty good!

I sometimes play commander with our friends and it’s the best! Currently have a token deck & a vampire deck!
